Making Sense of The Dog Shows

These days a lot of them are on television. The best part is that you see all the different breeds. If you are a dog enthusiast, there are always new breed dogs who have never seen before. As the contest unfolds, I always start rooting for a couple of your favorite dogs. Sometimes it is mystifying how judges decide between all the gorgeous dogs in each group. So, a dog show I watch? What are the Olympics for dogs? It would be nice to know how they are organized so that it will be easier to keep track of our wonderful animal friends during these events.
dog shows are held all over the world and are known as conformation shows. There are many other competitions such as agility, obedience, hunting, tracking, and others. In conformation shows, individual dogs are judged by how well they represent their breed, and thus their ability to carry on the quality of the breed for future generations. Each dog is judged against their breed standard, which is a detailed description of the perfect dog for each breed. If the dog deviates from the Breed Standard in any way, she would receive a misdemeanor or a judge will take the points. Only purebred dogs are allowed in these competitions.
There are countless dog shows every year, some large and some small. Some programs are limited to one breed. For larger displays, different breeds are divided into 7 groups: sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy, non-sporting and breeding. In the UK, most shows are governed by the Kennel Club (KC), while the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) is the governing body for the breed of dogs in Australia. Different kennel clubs have different rules and can identify the different breeds. The differences between the KC and AKC breed standards are the reason that the American and British golden retrievers, golden retrievers are a little different.

biggest dog show in the world Crufts is held every year in Birmingham, England. It is a 4 day event held at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre). More than 22,000 dogs from around the world participated in 2008. In 2011, Crufts will be held from 10th to 13th March The winners of the major shows around the world to qualify to compete at Crufts. For example, the winner of the FCI Asian International Championship Show 2010 in Tokyo have qualified for this year's event.
World Dog Show was another big annual event. Instead AKC or KC, this event is organized by the Federation Internationale Cynologique. FCI was originally founded by France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria in 1911. Today, FCI has more than 80 countries. Breeds are divided into 10 groups, instead of 7 2011 World Dog Show will be held in Paris, France July 7 to 10 This event can be held in any of the countries around the world.
