Your Image - Don't Dress Like a Garden Salad!

Every spring, designers satisfy our longing for sun and warmth of us who have the fashion and furniture in a seasonal series of effervescent spring and summer colors. Overnight, it was as if the planet is populated with a garden salad walking in zingy shades of spring green, bright red tomatoes, zesty lemon yellow, orange sunshine, and countless shades of sweet and chili peppers. There are also abundant in fruit salads frothy shades of yellow, orange and green melon.

The problem is that many of the colors of spring are a bit cheeky and cheap. Food dyes are classified by color psychologists less than a gem with style floral tones or colors, for example. Figure sweet yellow peppers and a juicy ripe tomato. It makes you hungry for food of any kind, and maybe even feel a little uneasy, if you looked at these colors for any length of time. Of course: red symbolizes physical energy, mental energy is yellow, so that the combination puts you on overload. Jewel tones, on the other hand, can conjure up a vision of the palace at Versailles and regal music.

With thirty years experience in the arena of color and color psychology, I have concluded that most people look less attractive in a yellow-tone color, especially grunge or "acid" shades. In other words, such as background color, spring green, lime green, orange, hot blues, mostly browns and yellows. Most people just look better in cool colors such as navy or royal blue, black, emerald green or race, fuchsia and cherry red. Alas, most of us choose a color from the "heart and soul", rather than the results in the mirror.

This summer, resist the urge to look like a garden salad! Instead, take inspiration from the blue sky, lush summer foliage, purple sunsets and tantalizing swimming pool in shades of peacock blue or Chinese. Wear clean, white color as sparkling as a diamond - or black and white together
